Insurance Companies And Their Doctors Are At It Again!

I was just doing some follow-up research on my most recent blog post, IMEs Beware! Your Time Has Come! And I stumbled upon this gem of a case. Aetna decided to deny a woman's disability claim on the basis of only one doctor, an IME, who didn't even believe the disease she complained of existed! How on earth does the insurance company expect objectivity when the docs they hire are predisposed to deny deny deny? The short answer is, they don't.
