$500,000 – truck accident. Our client was rear-ended by a tractor trailer while sitting on the Beltway in stopped traffic (every Northern Virginian’s nightmare.) She went through a long and painful course of physical therapy, followed by a painful series of injections in her neck in an effort to avoid surgery. Ultimately, howerer, she underwent a complex multi-level neck surgery with pretty good results. Despite having no defense to the accident (the driver admitted guilt) the insurance company did not offer an acceptable amount to settle the case until one week before trial.
