Q: If I am involved in a lawsuit, how long will it take to reach a conclusion?

A: It is impossible to tell how long a lawsuit will take.  Sometimes cases are settled immediately after they are filed.  Other cases go for years and can include appeals all the way to the United States Supreme Court.  In a Virginia federal court most ERISA long-term disability insurance cases are completed in 8 to 12 months.  This has been our experience.  Again, this will vary state to state.
