Frequently Asked Questions about Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Insurance Disputes

Q: Can you sue for what might have happened?

A: No. the law provides for compensation for carelessly caused injury. There must be a more or less direct relationship between the carelessness and some measurable damage. The fact that XYZ "might" have happened in the future doesn't count.
