NOTICE OF DISMISSAL: What does notice of dismissal without prejudice mean in a Virginia case?
A: A notice of dismissal without prejudice means that you can refile your case if you act within certain time deadlines. Generally, if you have not already filed a similar "notice of dismissal" in your case before, (also known as a "non-suit"), you will have 6 months within which to refile your case.
This can be tricky, however, and you should promptly consult with an experienced attorney in your area if you are in this situation.
