Being in a car wreck is never fun, plain and simple. After an eventful day, there's a good chance you'll be facing a personal injury claim and property damage claim all in one. I wish you could just compile all these troubles into one big project, but it's going to break down into two claims. This means two separate processes, that are different in their own ways.
What won't be different between the two is that you're going to have the insurance adjuster trying to take advantage of you, and either rob you of your case or nickel and dime you until there's nothing left!

I never said this is legal, but it does happen.
There's a good chance you'll also be bombarded with direct mail being sent to your home, with personal injury attorneys telling you "no recovery, no fee" "We'll fight for you when you can't fight for yourself" "Free consultation! Yes, all of these should be implied as good service from every personal injury attorney, but you'll still be spoon-fed them whether you like it or not! Whatever you do, don't let some silly postcard be your decision make on the best personal injury attorney.
Where you should start your search is with finding some quality information before sitting down with anyone. Every good board certified personal injury attorney should have a package they can share with you that will help guide you along the process whether or not you feel the need to even meet with an attorney.
