Tips on Buying Car Insurance 3-10

Hi, this is Ben Glass and I've got a tip today about buying car insurance for Virginia residents. You might be surprised to know that in Virginia it's perfectly legal to drive without insurance. You can go to the DMV and you can register your car as an uninsured vehicle. Now that's a really bad thing and a stupid thing to do but unfortunately a lot of people do it and in today's economy a lot of people are simply not renewing their claims. Now why is that important to you? Well if you get hit by somebody who's got little or no insurance you're gonna have to turn to your own insurance company for protection under a portion of your policy called the uninsured motorists coverage portion, okay, that provision of the policy. Now it's a little complicated but what I've done is I've written a book which is a guide for Virginia residents on how to buy car insurance. I don't sell car insurance obviously so I have no animal in this game, no dog in this fight so to speak but - but I find that people get a lot of bad advice from the insurance sales people. They either don't know what they're talking about on this particular issue or they don't want you to know about how to buy the best protection for you and your family.
